It seems that Nintendo has been against this type from the beginning. But I think that Poison Pokemon would be awesome if they just gave them a little boost. They don’t need to be uber-poweful or anything, but this has always been one of the worst balance issues in the game.
The only reason I can think of for Poison to have so many weaknesses is to account for Poison being a rather annoying condition to have. But still, I think they went overboard.

Yeah..maybe coz poison poke become the trendmark for team rocket (arbok, weezing, seviper, victreebell,dustox)..
and galactic grunt is usin’ stunky, skuntank, zubat, golbat, crobat..
even hunter J has drapion..
bad people have it..
Well actually poison poke only have 2 weaknesses:
ground and psychic..
But unfortunately ground poke is more powerful even go to this dragon (garchomp wit deadly earthquake)..
psychic goes to lati duo,and most of the legendaries are psychic (latios, latias, mew, mewtwo, lugia, celebi, jirachi, deoxys, azelf, uxie, mesprit, cresselia)
whoa!!..so many psychic legendaries..
and these psychic poke have the stats that can challenge the legendaries:
-alakazam (amazing spA and speed)
-espeon (juz below alakazam, have great spA and speed)
-metagross (more famous wit meteor mash..have deadly earthquake too coz its attack stat is amazing)
Can’t think of good poison poke but these poison poke are better than the other poisons:
-weezing (levitate and only have one weakness: psychic)
(can use will-o-wisp, explosion)
-roserade (amazing spA but still have 6 weaknesses)
-crobat (amazing speed, good annoyer and hazer, other stats are mediocre)
-venusaur (learn healing moves:synthesis..have 6 weakness and other stats so mediocre..being one of the weakest starter)
Guess that’s it..Dustox is probably the worst bug/poison ever..and Seviper is hard to raise=have total of 1640000exp and weak too..
